Okay, it's Tuesday and I've gotten enough sleep since the weekend to make a journal about what happened. LET'S DO THIS

It'll be kind of a short journal, since not TOO much happened, and I couldn't take any pictures, but we'll see what'll happen!

King-Cheetah and ~
BrianSutton, breaking all kinds of tradition, came into town on Thursday evening, rather than on Friday. I say it worked out pretty well, because I got to see my BEST FRIENDS IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD a whole day early!

We didn't do much that evening though, just went out and shot the breeze, which honestly, is the best thing about going to cons. Did you know the Road Runner is a girl? It's true! Since I don't go to Dallas much, I got lost on the way home

But then I made it home okay! Thank goodness that resolved well, my heart was in my throat.
On Friday, we headed up to the con to get ready where we ran into ~
DACantero and got our booth all set up. I still hadn't finished a lot of my badges, so I spent a lot of the day just working on those and talking with whoever stopped by. All of the cards I finished were posted, but none of them sold. Frowny face. After we closed down for the day, we went to.. uh... where DID we go? Oh yeah, we went to Jason's Deli for pasta and sandwiches. They do a pretty good chicken pesto, and we talked about the Luftwaffe. Do some research if you haven't, it's some crazy,
crazy stuff, bro. After that I went home and went to sleep. Then I got a wicked leg cramp.
Saturday was a lot more of the same, except KC and Brian went to a model show (no no, the little plastic ones), and DAQ and I manned the booth, like some kind of tiny ship, except instead of a ship, it's a table and instead of cargo, we had comics. I didn't sell any badges on Saturday either, but I was able to finish up all the ones that I had done, and that felt really good. Then after, we ate sandwiches and went to the Artist's Alley to draw pictures! Since I hadn't drawn in Brian's sketchbook yet, I made a picture of Camille that contains some SERIOUS story spoilers, so he might not show you if you ask. So don't ask and save us all the trouble

Oh, I also bought my yearly badge from ~
Ebiru-Zeru. She does good work, so go buy somethin from her!
And then there was Sunday, bloody Sunday. Sunday ended up being pretty awesome, actually. Some guy came up in the first hour of us being open and bought ALL of the TF2 badges I made!

I was amazed! Then later, ~
Ebiru-Zeru's total BF bought my Bioshock badge!

Then I got like, 5 badge commissions!

What the hell! I spent practically ALL DAY Sunday doing commissions and badges, and it was cutting close, but I got them all done, just in time! Did you know that a
red panda is not, in fact, panda at all, but a type of raccoon? Boy I sure do, now!
At about 3 or so, KC and Brian began to pack up the booth. They always have a long haul back to San An and like to get an early start. That's always the worst part of the show for me

But I'd say we had a good weekend, and it's always a good time when they're in town! Next year will be even better, probably! We're gonna shake things up, turn A-Kon on its head! Get all kinds of crazy! YEAH
After that, DAQ and I went to hassle everyone at the Radio Comix booth, generously giving out wedgies and noogies like they were going out of style. We just hung out there until the dealer's room closed, then helped them load up all their stuff so we could go out to eat. We went to Tokyo One, some kinda fancy buffet sushi place that serves crabs with no meat and waitresses that make fun of you because of it. How dare they! But they also have red bean ice cream, which is really good. It doesn't sound like it, but it really is!
And then, quickly as it had begun, A-Kon was over for another year. A-Kon has really become the highlight of my year, so I'm always sad when it's over. But always nice when it comes around too

I would have preferred for some things to go differently, like changing it so we get the Cantrip books BEFORE the con instead of AFTER. I have the books in hand now though. If you had made a pre-order for the book, I'll be sending you an email about it soon, because a few other things didn't go as planned, so watch your emails. If you haven't pre-ordered a book and you want one, it's
easy as pie to get one.
I think that's about it for this writeup though. I'm awfully tired anyway, so this seems a good a place as any to stop. Thanks for reading, and I hope you'll show up next year for A-Kon!

i haven't been on dA in awhile.
