So, for my next-to-last assignment in Image Editing class, we're to make a poster for a performace arts event, real or fictional. I decided to make one for a stage play/musical of one of my favorite stories, Pinocchio, only visualize it as if it takes place in Mexico rather than Italy.
THis is pretty much the final logo, which went through a few revisions. I couldn't decide if i wanted ot have the image be illustrated or a photo manipulation, but I decided that a photo-like logo would look good in front of an illustrated Pinnocchio.
Pinocchio's design is almost finalized, and I'll post an image of that, as soon as I finish and color a test version.
Textures yoinked from this place right here. Good place if you need textures for anything. And I mean anything.

CommentsThe only thing I dont like is how you've obviously tried making it 3d but it still looks some what flat...perhaps if you skewed the right side up alittle bit it might achieve the 3d effect better...

Awesome work! The photomanipulation is so seamless, and the Mexican style text is also quite nice. Love how you have the hat tipped on its side; definitely looks like a poster to me. Thanks for showing us that website, by the way!

Now seriously, that's a dandy logo right there. Wonder what the change in scenario would do to the story. The characters would still be loud speakers of course  -- You learn something new every day, whether you like it or not :> Interesting idea. Pinnocchio taking place in Mexico rather than Italy. I am really want to see what you do with this.
