No doubt you read about KC's departure from dA already, so I won't recount it here. Even if he won't be here, he still needs our support, and to let dA understand that this sort of thing really is not cool.
Really, it's not a case of 'everything is all right or nothing is', because racier pictures have earned Daily Deviations.
It's not a stretch even to say that he's one of the more helpful members of the community, as well. He's helped lots of people break into comic publishing by advertising spots in Radio's many anthologies, and helping out with any questions pertaining to art in general. He's without a doubt the most helpful person I've met on dA.
Not that other people haven't been helpful, of course.
But it seems like a poor way to repay someone who's done quite a bit to help make this site a fun place to visit; just randomly deleting deviations without warning, or even a decent reason why.
Seriously, dA, use your time fixing stuff that matters, like art theft and ironing out all the leftover bugs from when dA 5 launched. My 'remove all' button still doesn't work.
Please, show some support for someone who's supported a lot of us.
For DA, it started going downhill (not that it wasn't already going that way before then) when the whole "yellow" fiasco began. It seems to have snowballed from there.
Racier pictures have indeed been given DD's - I don't see why it is that some nameless, faceless asshole, instead of at least talking to KC about it first, goes crying off to the mods claiming it's pornography. *AHEM* How many DD's have been borderline and over-the-borderline pornography over the last year odd?
I'd like to see DeviantART, not DeviantPORN, nor DeviantSPACE. I'd also like to see the mods taking art theft seriously. Once upon a time, you could submit a detailed report and the offender or offenders would be removed and temporarily banned. If they did so again, it was perma-ban.
I've seen nothing of that anymore. Art thieves I myself compiled detailed reports against are still active. I've been temp-banned by the mods for submitting art theft reports before. People don't see why I bother when that happens. Maybe it's because I don't like seeing some little shitbag hyping up their "talent" that rightfully belongs to someone else. Maybe I don't like seeing artists give these little bastards the RIGHT to steal other people's art just because they themselves "don't give a shit" about theirs. I don't know.
I for one have always admired those artists who, despite all the bullshit and fucktardism DA has shown them over the years, remain here to assist others, even going as far as the lengths KC had gone. His departure is another piece of the community puzzle gone. Is DA even a community site anymore? (I'm asking myself that question, disregard it).
It's sad that one of the most helpful people I know through you had to leave like this. For someone whose country is a complete failure at even recieving a reliable shipment of his works of brilliance, you can bet I'm more than annoyed at not seeing his work in my inbox anymore. It was a small ray of sunshine, amongst many others, that I enjoyed seeing, commenting upon and faving.
He's got my everlasting support and admiration, and he's sorely missed.

What I think, I create. What I create, I draw. What I draw, I love. What I love, is everything to me.
I prefer creativity, originality, dynamics and sassiness over cut and paste and paintfill and trace.
The weird thing is I contacted a represenatative about his work and not only was it not a policy violation, they printed it on mugs for me. So it not good for dA but they can print it on mugs for me? I don't get the rules.

Thank you very much for creating this stamp, Poinko.
I´m editing all my HA! works( why not, I was influenced by his style )for have this stamp in, AND SO FORTH the new ones, would have it, too.
Funny,
Those faceless hypocrites didn´t EVER truly collaborated with anyone( otherwise, where are they, or whatever they "did" in behalf of other people - fans, artists and writers alike - since they dosn´t show themselves, either )in ANY way...
It's the end of an era and a result of a terrible mistake that will develop a great blemish on the site to fester for centuries to come. It's a crater of infected flesh on it's face that spews yellow pus and makes me want to drag it behind the barn and shoot it.

Discussing page views, activity and popularity, ~ChaoticSkye explores the inner workings of the community on deviantART from her point of view.
Although this does not apply to everyone, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority perceive things from a different point of view from reading this.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
